How to Make Almond Milk

How to make preservative free homemade almond milk.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup raw organic almonds
  • 3 cups purified water

Instructions

Directions:

  1. Place the almonds in a bowl and cover with water. Allow to soak overnight
  2. Drain and rinse almonds
  3. Put the almonds in a high powered blender with 3 cups of water. Blend 1 to 2 minutes until the liquid looks milky and the almonds are very finely chopped.
  4. Put a nut milk bag or clean dishtowel in a bowl or pitcher and pour the mixture into the bag. If using a dishtowel be sure you will be able to gather all of the corners together. Let the milk drain through and then squeeze the remaining milk out.

Notes:
The milk will keep in your refrigerator for about 4 or 5 days. You can save the pulp that you strained out and let it dry into almond flour for baking.
