cookie exchange day

December 22nd is National Cookie Exchange Day.  I couldn’t find any information as the the origin of National Cookie Exchange Day, but I suspect it is just a matter of tradition with possibly a little help fro the food industry as is so often the case in the food holidays.

I think it would be more appropriate if it was called National Delicious Food Exchange Day.  As far back as I can remember friends and family in my circle have been giving each other gifts of food as Christmas rolls near.  We look forward to the giving.  It brings friends and family closer together.  It says you care and that someone cares about you.

So what are you waiting for.  Bake up a few batches of cookies and share the love. Use it as an excuse to drop in and see old friends.  Bring some into the office for your co-workers to brighten their day.  Throw a cookie exchange party.

If you don’t have time to bake, then consider ordering some Christmas cookies from Amazon using the ad/search box below.
