Note: We use an Induction Cooktop in our videos for placement purposes and have found we love the fast cooking times and even heating.  Induction burners require either Stainless Steel or Cast-Iron Cookware to work.

* We stress using organic macaroni as we have learned that wheat crops in the United States may be much more heavily doused with pesticides several times during the growth cycle.  Wheat crops are also the crop most frequently “fertilized” with “biosolids” which is sewage sludge shipped to farms from major cities.  Unlike animal manure used as fertilizer, sewage sludge contains concentrates of anything dumped into the municipal sewage system: paint thinner, medical wastes, motor oil, paint, cosmetics, cleaning products, bleach, etc.  While choosing organic with any food is a healthier choice, with wheat crops it may be particularly important. Using organic macaroni in this recipe increased the cost by only 50 cents.
